PROFILE

Hi, I am Charlotte Fofo Lomotey. I think I come from Ada-Foah in the Dangme East District of the Greater Accra Region. You know, the capital of the Greater Accra Region is Accra; and Accra is also the capital of Ghana. So you now know that the people of Ghana have special liking for my Region. This is because everything is done from Accra.
I like to sit at the beach, watch films, surf on the net, read inspirational books and relax a lot. I also like to chat with my male friends a lot.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • I started school at Cape Coast. I continued to Tarkwa Secondary School for my G.C.E. I also attended Foso Training College for my Initial Teacher Training. I hold a B.Ed in Ghanaian Language (Fante) and an MPhil. in Applied Linguistics, all from the University of Education, Winneba.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

  • I am a young and enthusiastic Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Applied Linguistics, University of Education, Winneba.
  • My major areas of specialization are Phonetics and Phonology. I also have interest in Semantics and Language Laboratory Studies.
  • Currently, I am working on the differences or similarities that exist in the speech sounds of some of the major languages of Ghana.
