What are your thoughts on quality and open authoring?

I think there are similarities between a whiteboard and a wiki in that they both promote interaction. But I view a whiteboard as more of a synchronous (i.e., live or in real time) tool whereas a wiki more as an asynchronous tool. Also, I view a whiteboard more as a teaching and learning tool and a wiki as both a teaching and learning tool as well as a tool used for creating content (i.e., open educational resources or OERs). Anyone else have any thoughts or opinions? --Benjamin Stewart 13:37, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
