Template suggestion
Hi Ruth,
I love what you are doing with the physiology and anatomy content. Great work and I particularly like the diagrams. What a resource! Excuse my impertinence here, but I have a suggestion. I learned to use a simple template to tie my articles together: template:BES. After making the template, I can now add the text {{BES}} to any page, and the template contents are dumped into the top of the page. I include a link to my central index page in the template and that helps folks navigate. I thought of your content because Brent Simpson made a biology category, and by slipping the text [[category biology]] into my template, his new biology category automatically links to all of my pages. I thought a template would work well for your work also, particularly if you feel the need to add specific links to all of your pages and need a simple way to make instant changes to all of your pages at one time. Anyway, it's a thought for the evening. Keep up the wonderful work! Dmccabe 04:19, 13 February 2008 (CET)
Hi Declan, Thanks for your encouraging words. It is so good to get feedback. As for the template idea it does sound good. When my teaching load declines a bit I will look at it in more detail. This resource on both Wikibooks but more particularly in WikiEducator will continue to develop as it has been picked by the COL for a bit of seed money for advice from a distance education designer. Cheers Ruth
