Observations and thoughts.
I'm duly impressed with the speed your team has mastered the wiki model for publishing content. My comments and suggestions provide ideas for improving the course.
- When linking to a document uploaded on the wiki, you need to use the URL which points to the actual file (rather than the URL for Mediawiki's viewer) because the course is published on a separate website and needs the "absolute" url for the location of the file, for example: https://wikieducator.org/images/c/c8/Lecture_2_Conceptualising_Social_entrepreneurship%2C_innovation_and_enterprise.pdf (Not the url which initates the file viewer in the wiki: https://wikieducator.org/File:Lecture_2_Conceptualising_Social_entrepreneurship,_innovation_and_enterprise.pdf)
- As far as I can see the Grieco, 2015 Chapter is all rights reserved - You cannot upload all rights reserved content in the wiki (or an OERu course ;-)). I recommend finding alternative open access resources. I quick search of the DOAJ revealed this publication: http://timreview.ca/sites/default/files/article_PDF/Saifan_TIMReview_February2012_2.pdf . Not sure if this is a suitable substitute.
- I recommend "chunking" the subsections of the page into separate subpages for the learning pathway. You could create the following sub-pages for this pathway:
- Overview or Objectives
- Key concepts
- Social enterprise
- Fighting chance
- Additional resources
- Quiz
- Generating subpages for each pathway has the following advantages:
- Promoting consistency across "standard" OERu courses (means easier reuse of support materials)
- More meaningful site statistics - i.e seeing what pages learners engage with.
- Ability to integrate better engagement - eg WENote comments for sharing thoughts on video snippets.
- Have you thought about integrating a "Learning challenge" for each pathway. This could take the form of a reflective blog post which learners post on their own course blogs.
