Multi-lingualism and the WWW

I think the issue of multi-lingualism and the Internet is very important. Interestingly most of the materils on the net are in English, though there are more languages. Even in India we have so many langages and dialects that are on the verge of extinction. WikiEducator can help to restore these languages and culture.

Missan - you're very right.

Already we have WikiEducator versions for Spanish, French, Portugese, Hindi and Tamil - although the Indian languages have been slow to pick up.

Wiki technology is very empowering - we just need to build critical mass around each language wiki to ensure the preservation of culture through digital means.

I totally agree with Missan. Wikieducator can help to update different subjects in different languages, so in different contexts.
