Absolutely! If that's what it takes to get this horrid software off the wiki! we should scream out conspiracy :) I still can't work it out... I still don't get emails.. I only now get a "New Mesages" box at the top of the wiki, that has brought me to this LONG list of messages I knew nothing about.. I'm hitting reply on them, but I have no trust/idea if they are reaching the person!
I don't actually get notifications of new messages when I log on to WE. This is partly why I have kept away from LQ with my students. They seem to get notifications on the top of the page when they log on. I went to the trouble of setting up an alter-ego logon to send myself messages to test this out and confirmed that despite sending messages to my typical user name, I don't get a notification. I feel somewhat vindicated although not pleased to see the list of distinguished Wikieducators similarly frustrated. In the interest of balance, this issue is probably my only significant point of frustration for me on WE.
