Hi Godfrey,
I'm glad you find the templates useful. Neither page was created. The pages are only created when you first save. If you use the template, you do get all of the stuff that comes with it. By all means make a page to try it out, I can easily delete it at your request. You can very easily copy the templates to new page names, and then change them to suite your needs.
