Improving / expanding the template

Checkbox Checked.svg
Checkbox Unchecked.svg

Dear friends; I was thinking at a navigational template for users alowing them to display the user pages in the other language projects using image:Checkbox Checked.svg and image:Checkbox Unchecked.svg. Is there an interest? What template should I use to start with? What stylie is prefered? Who can assist? Best regards « לערי ריינהארט » at commons facebook 16:09, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

The template can be changed to allow:

  1. a subtitle
  2. selectable projects (not all as actual default)
  3. different namespaces and pagenames in all projects (not identical as actual default)
  4. additional namespaces (this makes sense with the new flexibity; the MediaWiki namspace should be excluded for performance safety etc.)
  5. (more difficult) support for the custom namespaces (there is a documentation about the wiki setup for the diffent instances)
  6. ...

Need to look deaper in what MediaWiki version and what extensions are installed. It would make sense to share templates from a common wiki. Nut sure how far MediaWiki developent is today.
Need to investigate if individual editing rights could be addigned to user groups per namespace, per page (with subpages) etc. and how they can be activated.
