Personal information
I am female and married with three kids. I was born and bred in the republic of south Africa, did my tertiary education and professional development at the University of the Freestate. In my final year I married my youth sweetheart and we moved to Namibia. I am a laisess faire kind of person in many ways and have a lot of patience with my husband, kids and colleagues.
Career development
I am a educator but not in the traditional way - I actually am a health professional but started by teaching career as a health educator at the University of Namibia - a very long time ago. After 15 years of teaching I decided it was time to make a change and joined a private hospital as a case manager. After 12 months went back to teaching but thena s a contract teacher at a local secondary and a primary school.
Then a went into private practice as a health professional. The Centre for external studies contacted me to do contract work in the Department Student Support and things snowballed in such a way that I am currently permanently employed and currently the HOD.
