Finalize article content outline and contributions
Hi Balqis, did you meant to add this as a sub title to the article content outline? If you did, let me know and I'll add it there. Is it similar to 'Why are we doing this? What problem are we trying to solve'?
Hi Vasi, I would like to add the need(why) and benefits of using OERu in praxis in a State (Kerala) where it is not yet usedby any ofthe educational institutions. The problems or blocks that hinder the universities from using it also would be covered. lt will include how can we benefit from adopting OERu model here.l hope it is clear and would like to know your opinion
Dear Balqis,
I think that its important to explore the challenges and opportunities for Kerala (and India) in joining the OERu network. That's important work.
However, I don't think that the Open Praxis article is the vehicle to achieve this. Looking at this from an international development perspective -- I'm concerned that the inclusions of one country case study in a short article of 3000 words will disenfranchise other countries who would like to be included.
Perhaps we should work towards a collection of chapters on the OERu in the near future which will provide greater scope for more detailed analysis at the country level.
What do you think?
Yes Wayne ,you're absolutely right. That would be great to focus on each country in another time in future.Actuallly ,l didn't foresee the skewness it would bring to the article. Thanks for letting me know this and glad to hear about the future theme .l hope to contribute by summarizing those points here in the "Why we are doing this and what problems are we trying to solve ?"section
That is a very good idea Balqis but I agree with Wayne that we need to keep the broader international focus of this article. It will be good to continue this collaboration beyond the Open Praxis article and put together chapters / case studies focusing on specific countries or institutions.
Yes Vasi ,let us hope for bringing forth such case studies and chapters in near future in a similar way we did with outlining the draft for this article on Open Praxis.l hope to add my general points to the section you had previously asked me.Have a look at the contributions below the sub heading "Why we are doing this and what problems are we trying to solve?l am excited to continue this collaboration :)
