I don't know if you're aware of this list. I'm a great believer in going to the horse's mouth, which in this case is Martin = Mr.Moodle.
If you would like a quick overview of his present thinking, then you'll be happy to know it's not too dissimilar to your own. This piccie gives you the model that they're working to at the moment. They expect to deliver the hub sometime later this year, according to Martin.
You know, if we want to start pulling a few things together, it would be really useful if we started to get serious about a community hub of our own. By that I mean something like wikback, but which has combined wikicentric community forums. i.e WMF projects, wikieducator, citizendium and a few wikified others. regards, simonfj
