Editing existing audio/video clips?
Is it practical to allow users to edit (or at least trim) existing clips?
If editing is possible, how will wiki attribution be tracked?

Sir, creating an editing tool is a huge task, there are alternatives but. For example : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ It is an open source audio editing tool. I have not thought about making this tool within the scope of this porject, but it looks like a good addition
We use the Kaltura collaborative video editor in WikiEducator pages. It would be great if there were a similar project that handled WebM.
