Challenges in Collaborating
Collaboration is initially a risk. Will a new collaborator pull her/his share of the load? The only way to find out is to take the risk. There is time invested in establishing the collaborative relationship, but the time can be rewarded if the collaboration is productive. Collaborating with someone gives you access to their skill set, and they can share yours. Collaboration can also be highly motivating and push collaborator to higher levels than they might have reached without collaboration. I find that I am more likely to sit down and write that manuscript if I know my coauthor is waiting for a draft.Dmccabe 02:00, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Hello,
I totally agree with you. I am pursuing a doctorate online at the UOP and and have many team projects that empower me to higher levels that would not have been possible had I done the work on my own.
