It is important that access to the Birth Centre is facilitated by adequate car parking and clear signage. The foyer to the Birth Centre should be warm and welcoming. This foyer also functions as a waiting area for those attending antenatal or postnatal visits at the Birth Centre, though these are frequently carried out in the woman's own home. Artwork, potted plants and a comfortable sofa create a warm and welcoming ambiance.
