Speeches: A form of persuasive writing
In the previous learning pathway, you learned about the many things you need to consider before writing a text. Depending on those factors (i.e. audience, purpose, context, media, and language), you'll have to use one of four main types of writing: expository, persuasive, narrative, and descriptive. In this learning pathway, you will learn more about writing types, their purpose and their form.
The overall purpose of this learning pathway is to learn how to use the four different writing types. Your goal is to:
- Learn about the characteristics of each writing type.
- Be able to identify each writing type.
- Be able to use each type in your writing.
