Living and writing in society
Whether you plan to write a novel, a blog, or a great essay, you won't be doing it in a vaccum. Writing is a conversation with the world around you. As a consequence, you always have to consider many factors (i.e. audience, purpose, context, and media), before you start writing. In this learning pathway, you will learn more about these factors and the impact they can have on your writing.
The overall purpose of this learning pathway is to learn the advantages of thinking before writing. Your goal is to:

- Understand why it's crucial to think before writing.
- Be able to identify the different factors that can have an impact on what you're going to write.
