Template talk:Activity
Added a second argument called header. If it is not present the default is <h1> or a section in the TOC. Other arguments for header are 2,3 -- see usage in Template:Activity. If this breaks the template for too many people: revert to December 19th version. Kruhly 07:33, 17 March 2007 (CET)
Changed the default to 0 so that no header argument or header = 0 causes the template to not be included in the TOC. This mimics the original behavior and thus should not break anything. The method for implementing the default case does not seem to allow as fine a control of the font-size. Thus the smallest increase I was able to generate successfully was +1. Maybe someone with more CSS experience can figure out how to better control the font size for the default case. In summary, header={0,1,2,3}. It could easily be updated to take arguments up to and including 6 (<h6> is the highest the wiki will support). See Template:Activity for usage. Kruhly 20:54, 17 March 2007 (CET)
The header parameter with the #switch inside or outside the decoration causes the righthand section edit links to get confused. This is documented at Help:Section#Editing_sections_of_included_templates. To help reduce the risk of lost data, __NOEDITSECTION__ has been added to the cases, header = {1,2,3} so that section editing is not available. Limited testing on User:Kruhly/Sandbox has shown that this works for the time being (ie the original behavior still exists for header=0, and header = {1,2,3} lists the template in the TOC). It would be nice to figure out a way around this limitation so that section editing could be available for all cases. Note: The font size of "Activity" is controlled inside the decoration via a <h1> tag . The carriage return must be after the tag otherwise there will be an extra listing in the TOC. -- Kruhly 21:00, 19 March 2007 (CET)
