Purpose

Returns a translation of "libre" in the given language indicated by language code.

This template also defines the translation, so help is welcome in getting them right.

Usage

To Do

• Add translations
  • Sources and process:
    • Translations of the term “free software”
    • Look up "Free software" on Wikipedia and follow the links under "Languages" in the left panel to the topic on the various language instances of Wikipedia.
    • Use various on-line dictionaries and translators to make sure of the correct interpretation of "free" (i.e. libre).
    • Ask one or more native speaker(s) to confirm.
    • Synchronise coverage of language codes with this page, {{LanguageInLang}} and the samples page.
    • discuss on-line on WikiEducator (and elsewhere).
    • When sure, add or change a translation by editing the source of the template {{LibreInLang}}.
• Double (multiple) check each translation (help welcome :-)
  • Where applicable, check which declension is culturally correct for a generic label which could apply to (e.g.) software, knowledge and cultural works.
