This page is designed to be a introduction into how thermodynamics can be used and why it is important. It is not meant to be an introduction to the concepts of thermodynamics (first law, second law, etc.). That will be in following sections. One of the reasons for this introduction is that most texts on thermo do not give an actual definition of the word thermodynamics!
Ideas for additional questions are welcome.
