Questions posed on page

I think the questions are resolved ie. no need to include the additional content proposed, however I do not seem to be able to edit those bullet points?

Hosting of course files

The hosting of editable document files on the wiki is a security risk (it is possible to embed malicious scripts in docs) - so we can't open uploads for odt (and definitely not docx as that does not meet the open file format requirements of free cultural works approved licenses.) Also, some courses are dependant on CC-BY-SA-NC open textbooks which we can't host on the wiki due to license incompatibility.

The Project Management course will require an number of downloadable template files and examples. This is my proposed solution:

  1. We will install an open source alternative to "Dropbox" like Owncloud or NextCloud and we will provide upload authorities to the course developers.
  2. On the Resources page, we will compile a list of the relevant files. In each case, we must ensure that there is an open file format version (odt, odp, ods) in addition to the usual culprits.

I'll let the team know once we have the could file storage option installed.
