Science videos

Hi Günther, When I was growing up in the 80s and 90S we used to have science German videos on TV by something like TRANSTEL(if I remember right!)..and they were really educative. In particular,I remember one on sources of energy...that was extremely good. Is there a way we can get to them? I am of the view they are really an innovative way to teach science There is also this science program on DW TV called "tomoror today" . Do you ever watch it? Hi Florence, thanks for this new discussion topic. Some background info on that: There is a video function in WikiEd called Kaltura, a tool for collective production of videos. I haven't yet tried it, but it is working well. Say you have a nice experiment, make a little video clip of it (either by digital photo camera or by digital video camera) and upload it into the wiki. Other people can modify this file or add more scenes.

DW-Transtel is a branch of Deutsche Welle, that sells science programs for TV. I don't know it, but I would appreciate if you check out the web page and see if there is anything available in a free license. Otherwise this is business and TV stations have to pay for these programs. I see the principal problem here in the lack of cultural sensitivity. And: WikiEd has a Media Project. Maybe you could take up contact with them and find out who these folks are and what they can offer.--GünOss 09:18, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
