Overview

This wiki was started in 2014. It sought to share resources openly that might add to the ways in which people learn and contemplate their own sharing of resources.[1]

It has been informative over the years to learn how readers of this wiki have used the resources to connect with other learners. In that time, there has been an enormous growth in interest globally in sport analytics.[2]

One of the opportunities available has been to explore microlearning. Specifically, the exploration of small amounts of information of particular interest to each person's circumstances.[3] The course has been planned to give access to topics and topic subpages to make this possible.

Microlearning

The Wikipedia page for |microlearning includes these observations:

Microlearning deals with relatively small learning units and short-term learning activities. Microlearning is a holistic approach for skill based learning and education which deals with relatively small learning units. It involves short-term-focused strategies especially designed for skill based understanding/learning/education.

In a wide sense, microlearning can be understood as a metaphor which refers to micro aspects of a variety of learning models, concepts and processes.

In Theo Hug's (2005)[4] view, "There is not one precise definition which covers all the different concepts". He notes that definitions need to consider dimensions such as: time; content; curriculum; form; process; mediality.
