Does it still make sense?
You've written your essay and have dutifully completed all the stages of revision. Time to hand in your essay, right? Not quite yet. Chances are, you've made several changes during the revision process. While you've made your essay stronger in the process, it's quite possible that you've also introduced some typos or other errors. To make sure that you deliver the best essay possible, it's important to go over it one last time.
Consider the following elements:
- Did you follow the essay instructions including format requirements?
- Did you run a spelling and grammar check and questioned every suggestion carefully?
- Is your essay easy to read with paragraphs that flow smoothly from one another or do you need to add connecting sentences, words or ideas?
- Does your argument build slowly and logically from your introduction to your conclusion?
- Are you proud of the result?
