Working with Presentation Graphics Software When you want to create a presentation you can use presentation graphics software. Computer presentations are called slide shows. Each slide can have: Words Pictures Video Photographs Sounds Computers can display video, words, and images, as well as play sounds. What is Multimedia? Multi means many. If you create a multimedia presentation it means you are using more than one type of media. Presentations are fun to create and watch because they have animation that moves and sounds you can hear. Presentations are made to be played and watched not printed even though you can print them. Creating Presentations

Presentation Graphics Software Definitions Presentation graphics software is a program that creates slide show. Each slide can have words, video, clip art, and sounds. A presentation can have many slides. You can animate pictures or words on a slide. Animate means to make it move. Animation is what makes slides fun to watch. Slides can have video. Video is any movie. Slides can play sound like a recording of your voice, a noise, or a song. You decide layouts for your slides. Layout is how the words are placed on each slide. You create each slide by putting objects on the slide objects include clip art, text, drawings, sounds, and video clips.

To add a New Slide To start presentation program. Another way: Double-click the presentation program icon on the desktop . The presentation program starts and a new blank presentation opens. You see the title slide. The title slide has two placeholders. Each placeholder is a box with dotted outlines. You click the text in the placeholder and then type your own text to add text to the slide. Click the Click to add title placeholder. The insertion point now is inside the placeholder. Type Peter and Jane as the title of the presentation. Click the Click to add Text placeholder. Create a Bulleted List Click the New Slide button on the Formatting toolbar to insert a new slide. Click Title Text slide in the layout view. Click the Click to add title placeholder and then type Things I like to do. Click the Click to add an outline placeholder type Reading and then press Enter key type Playing football and then press the Enter key type Swimming. <flvplayer autoplay=false width=500 height=400>secondslide.FLV</flvplayer> Click the New Slide Button on the Formatting toolbar to insert a new slide. Click the Click to add title placeholder type Reminder List. Click the Click to add an outline placeholder, type Homework the press Enter key. Type PE things and then press Enter key.
