My name is Nicholas Kimolo. I come from Nairobi, Kenya. I work as a Consultant in eLearning and I love Motorbikes and Coding. Currently, I am working for a company called Futuristic Ltd. I have interests in Open Educational Resources and Technology Mediated Learning. I am a graduate from the University of Nairobi with a BSc (Computer Science) degree and I am also certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) of Kenya and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- I have been involved with Free and Open Source Software development for a period of over 6 years and has participated in the development of several FOSS projects across the African Region.I helped to start FLOSS4Edu, a group that seeks to develop Free and Open Content for African Schools. I believe that Free Content is the only way we can be able to participate in the new world of increasing technology use.
- As part of my work on FLOSS4Edu, I have been involved in organising and conducting face to face workshops in East, Southern and Western Africa Universities. My ambition is to be able to have everyone in Africa participating in the development of digitial content because everybody has a story to tell and has atleast one thing that another person does not know.
