Mixing water colours ....Is this same as mixing coloured lights.........................?
Level: Primary/Teachers
| You may have water colours with you. Try to mix different colours and note down the resultant colours obtained. Please record your observations in the table given below.

| Let's see how to mix the coloured lights.
Get some coloured transparent sheets to produce different coloured lights using two torches. Mix the light and let that fall on a white sheet of paper.

Rainbow Colours
Have you any time observed a rainbow?..... if not or if you want to see now , then do the following activity.
| Take mouth full of water and stand in sunlight. Spray the water out of your mouth and enjoy observing the rainbow formed. Then find out answer to following questions and also create your own questions!.

| What is the shape of a rainbow? Can rainbow be seen in any other shape? |
| How many types of rainbows are there ? |
| Which colour is at the top? |
| Can colours be arranged in any order? |
| Can there be any rainbow without any rain? |
| Do you have any other question? Try to answer that one |
| Take a plane mirror and keep that inclined in a water tub and let sunlight fall on the mirror. Project the reflected light on a wall. Note down what you see. Try to connect this observation with the creation of a rainbow.
