General- Value of IT systems across national borders/ divide to -create material -Involve several national and transnational collaborators within and across disciplines - enable other countries to benefit from material BUT -potential for feed back from economic south to north and interaction needs to be fully exploited - continuity of contact and interaction after the end of a ‘project’ period needs to be maintained for all to benefit fully
