Session 3
Building blocks for individual business models for OERu partners
The purpose of this session is for participants to work individually to answer key questions relating to an open business model for their own institution that compliments and augments the OERF business model for the OERu. The idea is for participants to share their models and explain the underpinning rationale as a building block for developing shared business models for the OERu in the next session.
- Time: 11.45am -12.30pm

- Answers to open business model questions for individual partners
- Participants are invited to start thinking about their own open business models by answering the following questions (15 mins)
- Customer segments: Who are your most important customers?
- Value proposition: What bundles of products and services will you be offering through the OERu? Which customer needs are you satisfying?
- Revenue: How will you fund or generate revenue / funding for your OERu activities or services?
- Social good: What social good is being generated (beyond revenue and profits)?
- Open sharing of individual business models and underpinning rationale (20 mins)
- Participants are invited to start thinking about their own open business models by answering the following questions (15 mins)
