There are three things you should do before joining the Regional OERu meeting:

  1. Refresh your knowledge of the OERu plan and share your view on alternatives for implementing the OERu by completing the Input evaluation survey online.
  2. Review the OERu Open Business Model V0.1 which was developed from the perspective of the OER Foundation.
  3. Join the OERu open business model conversation.

The OERu cooperation promotes an iterative design approach and has adopted an "evergreen" strategic plan which is modified and adapted as new information comes to hand. This is supported by an open planning model where the OERu partners and community inform the design and implementation of the OERu. In preparation for the regional meeting you should:
  1. Download a copy of the OERu Strategic Plan 2015 - 2017 and scan through the document to familiarise yourself with our implementation plan.
  2. Reflect on design alternatives for implementing the OERu by completing the Input evaluation survey online before the regional meeting.

Familiarise yourself with the business model canvas

The development of the OERu business models will be based on the Business Model Canvas published by Strategyzer The idea is to visualise a business on a page.

View this short video which summarises the original Business Model Canvas. The Open Business Model initiative led by Creative Commons has adapted the canvas to provide a stronger social enterprise and open values focus.
