Decisions for action - strategies to ensure OERu success

Participants self-select to work in one of the groups identified below to develop proposals for action to improve OERu operations based on “strawdog” objectives. (10 mins)

(The proposed groups were derived from recommendations from the 2019 agenda consultation meetings.)

  1. Group 1: Integrating OERu products into partner institution operations - Matt Dyck
    • Strawdog objective: Each OERu financial partner ‘‘adopts’’ ONE or more OERu course(s) locally to provide assessment-only services for 60 learners (or 182 micro-credentials) to cover cost of OERu membership fee.
  2. Group 2: Strategies to expand the OERu network - Val Peachey
    • Strawdog objective: Each OERu financial partner identifies potential institution leads and successfully recruits one new OERu partner institution for our network during 2020
  3. Group 3: Learning for development - achieving OERu’s mission - Mpine Makoe, Unisa
    • Strawdog objective: OERu recruits and provides free membership to 20 selected institutions in the developing world during 2020 through the OERu Outreach Partnership Programme, targeting Africa, Asia, the Pacific, and the Caribbean
  4. Group 4: Consultation on the agenda for the OERu Council of CEOs meeting - Oonagh McGirr
