Portage College is a publically board-governed college operating eight campus locations throughout northern Alberta. The College has been serving the region for over 40 years and combines enriched learning environments with the employability skills necessary to have a successful and rewarding career. We are proud to be an innovative and creative college, combining hands-on training with teaching technologies and simulation labs. Our programs range from upgrading to SAGD Operator and power engineering, social work, licensed practical nurse, pre-hospital care, university transfer, business, and industrial and commercial trades like steamfitter pipefitter, welding, and electrical.
We know that OER's are extremely important. We were the first Post-Secondary Institution in Alberta to have OER utilization built directly into our program development planning, and we look forward to continuing this concept to allow each individual the opportunity for learning.
