Curtin University
Make tomorrow better.
Join more than 51,000 students from around the world studying at a global university ranked among the world's best.
With the vision to be an international leader in research and education that changes minds, lives and the world, Curtin University is Western Australia's largest and most multicultural university. In 2014, Curtin was ranked among the top 2 per cent of universities worldwide in the Academic World Ranking of Universities.
Open education resources are helping Curtin University open its doors to the world and move closer to its goal of having one million engaged learners by 2017.
One example is Curtin's MOOCs - or massive open online courses - which are growing in number and now in their second year at the university. These free, non-degree courses are delivered fully online and available to anyone in the world to study at any time. This philosophy isn't limited to MOOCs, with Curtin's degree courses increasingly making use of open digital platforms such as blogs, pinboards and wikis. They allow participants from all over the world to connect, share and collaborate across the web, academically, professionally and personally.
