Gayaza High School achieves a historic accolade,by being the first school in Uganda to implement a portal page on WikiEducator website under the Open Education Resource (OER) commons. The school's Open Education Initiative aims to empower their community of parents, teachers and pupils through open education. The OER Foundation, an international non-profit organisation ,has announced a free hosting service for all schools round the globe to profile their work in OER on WikiEducator and will provide a monthly free training for teachers in learning how to use a wiki under the Learning4Content project - the world's largest attempt to develop wiki skills for education.
