Unit 2.1 - Learning Management System
<fck:hr> In the previous course, you have gained the knowledge on learning theories, fundamentals of elearning and other tools related to elearning concept. by now, you may think that how learning will take place online, and how to keep track of learning activities. In this course, the first unit is about learning management system and other relevant tools which helps to create content for elearning, virtual classroom, web conferencing and concept mapping for the content. A learning management system (LMS) is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, and reporting of training programs, classroom and online events, e-learning programs, and training content. You will learn open source learning management system; Moodle and Brihaspati in this unit. You will also know about web conferencing sites to create interaction between peer to peer and to teacher. Concept mapping is a pictorial representation which shows the relationships among concepts of a topic. You will learn how to create concept mapping for your topic using MindMeister, Bubbl.us, Freemind. Let us discuss each topic here. </fck:hr> |
