Author

Elie Wiesel was born in the town of Sighet in Transylvsnia/ He was still a teenager when he was taken from his home to the Auschwitz concentration camp & then to Buchenwald. His memoris of that experience are unforgettably recorded in NIGHT, wich became a worldwide bestseller. Elie Wiesel is Andrew Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Boston University & founding chairman of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.
