Glowing Ghosts

Overview

This is a great halloween activity. People bring an empty drink or water bottle and can turn it into a glowing ghost that they can hang from a tree.

Materials

• Material: a square of cotton fabric
• Coin cell batteries (CR 2032 or similar). These have a positive (+) and a negative (-) side.
• 5mm or 3mm LEDs.
• A 1.5L or similar drink or water bottle
• Hot glue gun (optional)

Safety

Coin cell batteries are poisonous and are harmful if swallowed. Keep away from young children. Needles and pins dropped on the floor can be ouchie. Hot glue can burn

Tips

• Cut the top of your bottle so that the final position of the LEDs is about right for where a ghost's eyes would be.
