International trade: A summary

In this pathway we were introduced to macroeconomic concepts around international trade, which serves many functions aside from the exchange of goods and services at a global level. We then looked at absolute and comparative advantages from international trade, and its relationship to specialization. Finally, we looked at trade barriers, including tariffs and quotas, and examined whether trade barriers benefit or ultimately hurt a nation's economy.
