Unit summary
In this unit you learned about:
- The qualities of a good leader,
- The difference between a leadership and management and different types of leadership styles.
- How to motivate people.
- You should be able to identify which personality characteristics you have that are similar to those of a leader as well as those that you need to develop or further enhance.
- You should also be able to recognize bad leadership. Leadership skills can now be applied to decision making and problem solving.
Checklists of Performance Task
1. Creation of an advertisement, by an imagined company, seeking an individual to fill a vacant leadership position. Advertised position must also state leadership traits and qualities considered desirable/mandatory.
