- If you have not done so yet, complete your reading of Section 14.5 Developing your Personal Motivation Skills in Principles of Management (2015), published by the University of Minnesota Libraries.
- Make notes about how the performance appraisal described in the first section of the reading matches or differs from your own experience of a performance review (if you have never had a performance review, ask a family member, colleague or friend to describe one to you or search online for an example of one).
- Reflect on the importance of the performance review as a mechanism to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization.
