1. If you have not done so yet, complete your reading of Section 14.5 Developing your Personal Motivation Skills in Principles of Management (2015), published by the University of Minnesota Libraries.
2. Make notes about how the performance appraisal described in the first section of the reading matches or differs from your own experience of a performance review (if you have never had a performance review, ask a family member, colleague or friend to describe one to you or search online for an example of one).
3. Reflect on the importance of the performance review as a mechanism to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization.
