The Kaluthavalai Pilot project in Batticaloa was officially launched on 29th of September 2008 at Green Garden hotel, Kallady, Batticaloa under the Patronage of Sir John Daniel, President and CEO of the Commonwealth of learning (COL), Vancouver, Canada. Distinguished guests and colleagues involved in L3 Farmers Project came from Canada, India, Kenya, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea and Uganda. Also a group from Hambantota also came for the launching ceremony of the Kaluthavalai L3 Pilot project and visited Kaluthavalai APV Society center and farmers’ fields on 28th of September 2008.
