Sylvia Irene Wanzala is a Ugandan. She graduated with a Bachelor of veterinary Medicine Degree from Makerere University, Kampala in 2005. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and is in her second year. She is a teaching assistant with the Department of Veterinary Anatomy, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Makerere University. Part of her work involves teaching, research as well as community outreach. She has skills in project planning and as well as conference facilitation. Her areas of interest include research in infectious diseases in the tropics as well as food security.
