I presented my current work for distributed computations for Java - PCJ library.

The library is focused on running scientific calculations on clusters or multi-node multi-processors computers.

During the presentation, participants asked many questions and suggested possible improvements of library implementation.

During presentation many questions arise. Many of them were very helpful for improving the library.

The most important suggestions for future work are:

  • consider caching data and marking it as dirty,
  • prepare new charts with thousands of tasks/processors.
  • introduce failure recovery strategy when one node (possibly root/manager) fails.
