In project management, it's essential to keep track of what needs to be done. One way of doing this is with a Gantt chart.

A Gantt chart provides a visual overview of the project. It shows the tasks, their order, and their time frame.

This video shows why Gantt charts are so useful, and how you can use them to organise projects and keep your team informed of progress.

  1. Read the Wikipedia article on Gantt charts.
  2. Study the example given in the article.
    • Note the dependencies shown by the lines and arrows (called predecessors, in this example).
    • Note how diamonds are used to signify milestones which have no duration or effort.
