The purpose of this case study is to review an example of planning a wedding, starting with a Work Breakdown Structure.

This is followed by a definition of and sequencing of activities and related dependencies, leading to the creation of a Gantt chart.

  1. Read Chapter 10 on Project scheduling in the prescribed textbook (Web | PDF) (pages 72-80 (just before "Creating a Network Diagram) in the PDF version).
    • This is a detailed but important case study.
    • We recommend that you work through each phase: WBS, activity lists and dependencies, milestones and activity sequencing.
