Introduction to project management/IPM102/SessionA
Dear IPM102 participants
Congratulations. You made it through the content and learning challenges of the Initiating a Project (IPM102) micro-course. Only the formal assessment remains for those students undertaking this course for formal credit.
Don't worry if you have fallen a little behind schedule, you will find copies of the instructions for previous sessions on the course site.
You are now in a position to think about assessment and credentialing options to validate your learning. You can prepare an assessment for submission working at your own pace, and submit this when you are ready. As an open course, the materials for Initiating a project (IPM102) will remain open and accessible.
Earn a micro-credential
You have the option of earning a stackable micro-credential for Initiating a project from Edubits, an assessment service provided by Otago Polytechnic, New Zealand. Micro-credential assessments are small enough to be manageable for busy people, but big enough to be meaningful to employers. Micro-credentials can be accumulated, and can then be applied to gain formal academic credit.
The assessment fee for this Edubit is NZD80 (see approximate fee in USD, EUR and GBP).
There is a once-off administration fee for the issue of official transcript and learner identity validation, so we recommend that you complete all the Edubits you may need before requesting a transcript for transfer credit to minimize cost. (Estimated cost for the issue of a transcript for all completed OERu Edubits is a once-off fee of approximately NZD50 and learner identity validation interview is approximately NZD40).
Academic credit towards an exit qualification
You can accumulate micro-credentials that contribute directly to achieving academic credit for the Introduction to project management course. Transfer credit for this course is recognised towards the Certificate of Higher Education Business, a United Kingdom-based qualification conferred by the University of the Highlands (you are required to complete four micro-courses)
For more information and instructions on submitting assessments, please consult the assessment options page on the course site.
Course evaluation
Please tell us what you think about the Initiating a project micro-course by completing the short course evaluation survey online. Your feedback will help OERu in improving our courses so we can widen access to more affordable education opportunities for all.
Thank you for your participation!
With kind regards
The IPM102 course development team.
