The text below is a very basic scope statement. Some of the statement is problematic in the way it has been written. As you work through this activity, think about how you could improve the statement.

Cycle Track Community Engagement Project
The project owner, sponsors, and stakeholders
The project is owned by the local council, and the director of sustainable transport is the sponsor. The road traffic association, Police, local community groups, and schools are all stakeholders.
The problem statement
The new cycle way is not being used by the local community.
The project goals and objectives
To increase use of the cycle way by the local community.
The project requirements
That any promotion of the cycle way is done in an ethical and culturally-appropriate way that represents the values of the local council.
The project deliverables
