Scope

Major milestones

  • At least 3 significant milestones are described on a realistic and achievable time line. Milestone descriptions are sufficiently clear for the project manager to associate deliverables against the project timeline.

Preliminary cost for the project

  • Realistic cost estimate of total cost including a high-level breakdown of the major cost components is provided. Basis on which costs were estimated is adequately described.

  • Cost estimates are missing or unrealistic for the scope of the project. Basis on which costs were estimated is missing or incorrect.

Stakeholders

  • The overall charter is complete and is comprehensive enough to guide the project.

  • The charter is complete enough to give general direction to the project.
2 - 3
  • All the sections required are present; there is some linkage between the elements but significant gaps exist.
  • The project will require significant additional guidance to align with its objectives and scope.
