Getting started

Familiarise yourself with the course site, course guide and create the website accounts you will need.

  4. Activities using your PLE website accounts
     • Create an account on this website by clicking on the "Log in/Register" link (or "head graphic on a mobile device) and post your first comment on the Course feed page.
     • Post a “Toot” using the course BMAN111 hashtag
     • Create your forums account for BMAN111 and complete your profile page
     • Practise annotating a web page with the BMAN111 course code
     • Create your bookmarks account and search for links using BMAN111

Session 2

Establish your learning journal blog

Create a learning journal blog and declare yourself.

• Dates: 17 Feb 2020 - 21 Feb 2020
• Learning materials:
  1. Learning journal blog.
• Key activities:
  1. Create and customise your course blog site
  2. Complete the Declare yourself challenge
  3. Make sure you have tagged or labeled your blog post using the course code: BMAN111.
  4. Don't forget to assign your blog URL for the feed scanner (this is needed so that your posts tagged with the course code will be ""fetched" and linked from the course feed).
  5. Post one or two comments on the blog sites of fellow learners in your class (lLook for blog posts on the course feed page).

Session 3

Introducing entrepreneurship

Publishing your own definition of entrepreneurship and reflecting on the context of a start-up business in your own country.

Explore the characteristics that contribute to the success of entrepreneurs.

Covering basic concepts of financial statements.
