Introduction to Psychology 1/IPSY102/Learning/Challenge
From WikiEducator
The principles of learning are some of the most general and most powerful in all of psychology. It would be fair to say that these principles account for more behaviour using fewer principles than any other set of psychological theories. The principles of learning are applied in numerous ways in everyday settings. For example, drooling while looking at a menu, having to poop after taking a sip of coffee, and feeling scared when you hear 'scary music' in a movie are all examples of classically conditioned responses.
Reflect on your own life and identify one way that you are subject to classical conditioning. Describe the example and try to identify the US, UR, CS, and CR in your post. Remember! Classical conditioning involves an unconditioned stimulus that will automatically and reflexively provokes the unconditioned response.
You can either record your efforts in your private learning journal or you can make your learning public on your blog by using the hastags #IPSY102 #ClassicConnections. Using these hashtags will allow WEnotes to harvest your contribution and add them to the Course feed.
