“Situation starters” Group the students and ask each group to solve one of the problems below: ISLAND FEVER You are stranded on an island and you want to get home. There are many trees and you have a saw, some rope, three books, a bag of clothing an enough food to last a week. Also their research skills, new learning (i.e. using tools for the first time) and communication skills become enhanced.

These successful workplace qualities are especially important for students who need to excel and for those who need to succeed in non-traditional methods.

Like the Arts, the act of invention reaches and promotes unique abilities in students who can someday enhance their society.
